Hahaha, No-Way Simon! They are all yours :)

I had an amazing day out on Sunday, crossing another item of my list… Whale Watching!

My amazing friend Chris just happened to have some spare tickets around that expired this month, so off we went for a ½ day in a boat looking for whales!

It was such a beautiful day out on the water, really made me miss home.

I think we managed to see about 5 different whales come up a few times; they weren’t as active as I thought they would be but it was still amazing to see. Especially when they came up about 5 meters from the side of the boat, it felt like the boat was going to capsize while everyone on board rushed to the side to get a better look.

I have added some photos to this post, I have to tell you it was so hard to catch the whale above water, my little ‘point and shoot’ would spend so long trying to focus that by the time it too the photo the whale was back under! Additionally the hundreds of people on board made it difficult also!

Another thing that I can cross off the list and I probably won’t do again but was well worth it!

Next up… Pumpkin carving, just in time for Halloween!

Ok, I’m a bit late posting this, But… On Friday I made my first ever blood donation!

Donating blood has been something I have wanted to do ever since I was told that only 1% of Australians have the same blood type as me, but I have never had the time or have always been too scared!

Below is proof of how special I am :)

I thought I’d complete the eligibility quiz online before going down and lining up and wasting everyone’s time.  It was rather easy until my curiosity got the better of me and I clicked the ‘more info’ on the risky sex question, which opened up a new window and froze my computer! There I sat with definitions of acts I didn’t know possible on my large monitor at my new desk which happens to be in a walk way!

After the fixing my computer with a prompt shut-down, the whole process was over very quickly and wasn’t painful at all and I left with a lollipop, fruitbox and feeling like I was part of something bigger! (I know that sounds corny, but it’s true!)

It was such an uplifting experience that I have already booked myself in to donate next January when the mobile donation van is back near work!

I am also eagerly awaiting my donor card, so I can confirm that I am indeed AB - , as there has been much heated discussion at work about it being impossible for me to be this blood type while my parents believe they are both O+

My mum had always assumed that I was the same blood type until I did a week work experience at the pathology lab in the hospital. While I was there they took a sample of my blood that I could run all the test’s on for ‘fun’. This is where later the supervisor proceeded to tell me I had run the tests wrong and re-did them herself and got the same results.

However I would happily be proven wrong but the Red Cross and settle this debate once and for all, I will update you all when the results are in!

Nite!

Tonight we made the bestest pasta ever!

Coming home on a Friday to make pasta is the best way to end a week!

I had so much fun and it tasted delicious :)

Btw, you cannot make and eat pasta without drinking wine!!!

Thanks Chris and Dan!

Here is the list as it stands today  —>

No Laughing Please… As you can see, nothing is too big or small to go on my list!

If you have a suggestion, just let me know via the above link :)

Also, some rules about the list:

- There is no time frame to complete this list.
- I will not add all your suggestions to my list  :P
- Due to the nature of some of these items photographic evidence may not be available, so you are going to have to trust me!
- I will only cross off something once I have completed and posted about it.
- I do not have to complete all these items alone.

I think that’s enough for now!

Hi All,

My name is Stacie but I’m known as Gracie. This week I came up with the brilliant idea of creating a list of short term goals to achieve, I accredit this idea to a few factors;

1. Turning 25 next year.
2. Reaching the 5 year mark at my current place employment.
3. Recently making some huge life changes.
4. My amazing family and friends who are constantly telling me to try something new.

So all week I have been creating this list and discussing this list with my nearest and dearest when I realised that one of the things on my list is to write a blog!

So here I am killing 2 birds with 1 stone as they say… Crossing off an item on my list by starting this blog which will hopefully encourage me, keep me honest and keep you entertained if you have bothered to read this far!

For all you who are asking what’s on this list… Hold those horses… I will publish it very soon!

Much <3 Gracie
